You are a woman. Skin and bones, veins and nerves, hair and sweat. You are not made of metaphors. Not apologies, not excuses.
Thrifted Overalls // Anthropologie Top // Topshop Jeans // Birkenstock Sandals
I dream of days where I can just slide on a pair of overalls and go. Birks with a pair of dungarees is my summer suit, and tie a chambray top around the waist especially if your overalls don’t fit all too well. I also know that some of you don’t like overalls, you think they aren’t classy or something, and that’s okay! I suggest you slide on a pair of black skinnies instead for a nice transition outfit between seasons.

If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.
Zara Top // DIY Pants // Report Sandals // Forever 21 Neckalce
Today I’m channeling some serious Coachella vibes with my DIY boho printed pants and my crocheted top. I love this style because it’s really comfy and so cute. Even though festival season is coming to an end, I still drag it out with some good vibes and rad pants.

Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer grows you.
Madewell Scarf (on head) // Madewell dress // Steve Madden Shoes
This outfit is perfect for a transition to fall with the thick material of the dress and the neutral muted colors. It’s also simple and easy to slide on for a school day when you want to dress up but be comfortable. Also a headscarf is easy if your having a bad hair day and it’s a lovely statement to make in a subtle way.

You are beautiful because you let yourself feel, and that is a brave thing indeed.
Athleta Dress // Soma Sweater // UO Sandals
Today’s outfit for my Back To School week is one the most comfortable outfits you can ever wear for school. This is good especially if you are like me and you don’t wear sweats to school. My school doesn’t allow hats, but if you happen to have a uniform or just want to wear it outside of school it’s perfect for a weekend outfit for doing errands or for any end of season concerts!

It’s great to be happy, but it’s even better to bring happiness to others.
UO Top // Madewell Skirt // Birkenstock Sandals
It’s that time of year again, Back to School season is here! I begin school this week and I’ve always found that picking the perfect outfit for the first day is the hardest. You want to dress up without it being too much, and you want to stand out because you know mostly everyone else will be dressed up as well.
This week I’ve rounded up five outfits that I think are perfect for the first week of school. Today’s outfit is what I’m thinking of wearing on my first day, because it’s fun and different without being too out there. I hope this weeks posts can help you and good luck with your first day!

You’re under no obligation to be the same person you were five minutes ago.
Vintage Top // Topshop Skirt // Target Kids Socks // Enzo Angolini Heels // Vintage Headband
In the last 72 hours, I have watched the classic movie Clueless about 6 times. So, I think that that calls for me to make a post with my twist on Cher’s style, and this is my result and its pretty wild. I had to have the headband with the mini skirt, button up, and socks. Although they aren’t normally pieces that would go together or what I would ever wear, I adore this outfit. And in my concieded opinion, I’m a total Betty. But my mother told me to lose the socks (Ugh, As If!).

Would you believe in what you believe in if you were the only one who believed it?
Zara Top // Free People Shorts // Topshop Jacket // Birkenstock Sandals // Francescas Earrings
To me when I hear denim cutoffs and a flowy white top I automatically snap into a dream of beaches and the do-nothing days of summer. In addition to that, denim is the all american uniform that is endlessly classic. Combine these two (Plus the essential Birks!) and you, my friend, are ready to conquer the day.

May your life preach more loudly than your lips.
Brandy Melville Top // F21 Sheer Button Up // Topshop Skirt // Birkenstock Sandals
Black and white becomes my uniform near the end of summer, because by this time I’ve worn out all of my bright-colored ensembles and I’m patiently anticipating the fall colors that I adore so much.

I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone, it’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone.
UO Dress // F21 Shoes
A dress with tennis shoes is the easiest way to dress down a fancy dress (I wore this one to my Freshmen year Homecoming!). And, little did you know wearing patterned shoes with a patterned dress looks divine, as long as they don’t match because that’s way too Lizzie McGuire circa 2001.

I stopped looking for the light. Decided to become it instead.
F21 Top // Brandy Melville Skirt // Madewell Top (Around waist) // ALDO Booties
I’ve been one to wear skirts (like every other day, basically) but have figured out a way to make them fit my style while keeping it casual. The key to this look, the neutral colors and a shirt around the waist to create a separation between the plaid pattern and the solid top.

Great things never came from comfort zones.
H&M Top // Topshop Skirt // Birkenstock Sandals
Yet another Mandal Monday is here, I think I have a streak or something for this. Also, Fall plaids in Summer is totally okay if paired with summer peices (Like Birks!!), and you are on your way. Also, my eyes are closed in all these pictures just like last week so, I guess this is becoming a thing for me too. Also, I hope you have a fab Monday and you sprinkle glitter and happiness over everything and everyone you pass.

There is nothing wrong with loving the crap out of everything. Negative people find their walls. So never apologize for your enthusiasm. Never. Ever. Never.
Forever 21 Dress // Anthropologie Belt
How casual can Casual Fridays get? Personally, I’ll take it as far as to wear no shoes, because who needs those anyways? Also, today I tried out the half up bun, and I totally can dig it. At first I was like,”This looks like a man bun,” but now I’m just like, “Wow my hair is on point.” (P.S. I don’t know what my dealio is, but my eyes are closed in all of these pictures. I’m sort of up in the air as to why, maybe the flash is too bright?)

Try to love yourself as much as you want someone else to.
F21 Top // DIY Skirt // Birkenstock Sandals
GUYS, I made my skirt!! Also, doesn’t this top look like a baby’s onesie? Anyways, I have no clue what is going on with this outfit, because none of these pieces go together but somehow it all works out nice and neat. Nifty, right?

Throw glitter in today’s face.
Vintage Romper // Madewell Necklace // Steve Madden Sandals
Wearing blue on Monday automatically gives everyone the reason to believe that you have the so called, “Monday Blues”. This romper totally rocks, and once again was found in my mom’s closet. It’s perfect for summer, because I can just slide it on and not worry about anything. (P.S. I sincerely apologize for my terrible bathing suit tan on my back, but hey, that shows real progress in getting skin cancer, right?).

I am learning every day to allow the space between where I am and where I want to be inspire me and not terrify me.
F21 Top // ASOS Shorts // Enzo Angolini Heels
Everyone has a piece of clothing that brings the party with them. Mine are these shorts, I also call them my “party pants”. As they are quite jazzy and definitely a statement. Pairing them with gold accents and neutral colors helps to tone them down for a fun daytime outfit!
